Purpose of the Trip and Brief Itinerary*Outdoor education is incredibly important to us at King’s, and as such we believe that pupils should be offered as wide an experience in this area as possible. We have a long-standing history of taking the entire Third Year on an Outward Bound course at the end of every Summer Term. These trips build on the pastoral work we complete in school and aim to stretch and challenge pupils in a variety of areas such as team working, leadership and resilience.
Outward Bound has an outstanding reputation in its field and their centres are considered to be among the very best in the UK for specialist schools’ programmes. Their standards of safety are exceptionally high, as is the condition of all their equipment and their instructors are all suitably qualified and certified. We have built a strong relationship with the Trust and are very happy with the positive impact that these trips have on our pupils.
