The trip enriches students in a range of ways, from developing their independence through micro transactions such as cooking for their team on braais, arranging transport and converting their money, to larger and more awe-inspiring activities such as trekking through the rainforests and villages in the Uguluru Mountains and taking a safari in the Ruaha National Park. The highlight of the trip is a community project where students get to immerse themselves in rural life and contribute to a community initiative - setting up chili and bee farms as a deterrent for wild elephants and an extra source of income for locals. The 13-night trip culminates in a relaxing day by the Swahili coast and promises to be an eye-opening and diverse experience.
