Purpose of the Trip and Brief Itinerary*Providing opportunities for pupils studying German to immerse themselves in the life and culture of Berlin and of course practice their language skills
Berlin is well known for its rich and varied culture and history, and we have organised a range of exciting activities to give pupils the chance to explore this. Among these will be visits to world-famous landmarks, such as the Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, and the Reichstag, as well as a guided tour of the Olympic Stadium that hosted the 1936 Summer Games and a boat trip along the river Spree. Pupils will also of course be exposed to the German language throughout the trip and will be given opportunities to practise the language that they have learnt in class in real-life situations. Pupils will stay in a hostel.
